Tara Puja (chanted prayer) & Potluck

  • Kadampa Meditation Center Indianapolis 4010 West 86th Street, Suite C Indianapolis, IN, 46268 United States (map)

Following the Midwest Dharma Celebration (MWDC) with Gen Kelsang Demo and the Midwest community, we are going to engage in Arya Tara’s chanted prayer, Liberation from Sorrow, on behalf of ourselves, family and friends who are struggling, our communities, nation and the world which is experiencing so much misery and distress. Following the puja, we will have a potluck. Please email Angela, Admin Director, at ad@meditaiton-indianapolis.org with the veggie/vegan/GF dish, side dish or dessert that you would like to bring. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

Tara is a female Buddha, the embodiment of the fearless wisdom of all enlightened beings, who moves more swiftly than the wind to help anyone who is suffering and anxious. She has a particularly close connection with the Kadampa tradition of Buddhism, and pledged always to help Kadampa practitioners throughout the ages; this is as true today as it has ever been.
