Buddhist Mind Training: For Everyday Struggles

FRI September 25 | 6:30pm
talk and celebration evening

with Gen Kelsang Demo
US Midwestern National Spiritual Director and the Resident Teacher at the International Kadampa Retreat Center Grand Canyon

In this public talk, Gen Kelsang Demo will introduce practical methods from Buddhist mind training that help us respond to everyday challenges with greater clarity, balance, and inner strength.

Rather than trying to avoid difficulties, Buddhist mind training teaches us how to transform life’s struggles — such as stress, frustration, and emotional overwhelm — into opportunities for growth and understanding. By learning to work skillfully with our own mind, we can cultivate resilience, patience, and a more peaceful way of relating to ourselves and others.

This talk is suitable for everyone, whether you are new to Buddhism or have previous experience. No prior knowledge or meditation experience is required.
