The Courage to Change: Finding Your Authentic Self (May 31)
SAT May 31 | 10am - 1pm
with Fred May, Senior Kadampa Teacher
Book: The New Eight Steps to Happiness
The “self” and “others” that is unloveable and unchangeable is untrue, it’s a mistaken view. When we understand the nature of the self and learn to identify with our pure potential, then we can begin to overcome the negative states of mind that we usually identify that lead us to discouragement and discontent. Then, we can have the courage to develop an authentic self confidence based on wisdom versus ignorance.
“Delusions are distorted ways of looking at ourself, other people and the world around us. The way a deluded mind views these phenomena does not accord with reality. All delusions function like this, projecting onto the world their own distorted version of reality and then relating to this projection as if it were true. ” — Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
