Dromtonpa Kadampa Buddhist Center
Dromtonpa Kadampa Buddhist Center was founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in 1999 and is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU), a global network of over one thousand Centers and groups around the world. The Center is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to helping people develop inner peace, happy minds, and find happiness from within your own heart and solutions to your problems through following Buddha’s advice.
The center provides a peaceful and inspiring environment in which people from all walks of life can learn about Buddhism and meditation. The classes taught at the Center are suitable for all individuals whatever their level of interest, from those who seek simple relaxation to those who wish to find lasting inner peace and contentment through following the Buddhist path.
Open to everyone, the center provides a year-round program of meditation classes, workshops, and retreats that offer practical advice on how to apply Buddha's teachings to our daily activities.
You are welcome to visit the Center anytime. Spend time in our inspiring meditation room, browse in our bookstore, or speak with other practitioners from our community.
Don't hesitate to check out a meditation class this week and see for yourself!
"If we train in meditation our mind will gradually become more and more peaceful, and we shall experience a purer and purer form of happiness. Eventually we shall be happy all of the time, even in the most difficult circumstances."
-Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
Now, out of his kindness, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso is making his new book Modern Buddhism available for free in an ebook.
