Mala Making

Learn a skill and benefit others at this hands on activity at Dromtonpa!

Malas are a Buddhist rosary.  They are used for keeping count while reciting,
chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra.  Learn the beautiful art of mala
making with  Lisa Cook.  Malas created at the workshop will be sold
at the Festival marketplace this summer to benefit the International Temples Fund.  Please join us for this activity in creativity and compassion.

Dromtonpa Buddhist Center’s
Spring Walk For World Peace Fundraiser

At Eagle Creek Park
$20 minimum sponsorship to hike

Carpools leaving from Dromtonpa Center at 9am or meet at the park gate at 9:45.

Walk 4 miles along a wooded trail in Eagle Creek Park in support of Dromtonpa Center’s efforts to bring world peace to the people of Indiana. We will stop at various intervals to listen to short readings from Eight Steps to Happiness by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

Guru Yoga Mandala Offering Retreat

7:45-9:00am, 11:00am-12:15pm, 4:00-5:15pm, 7:30-8:45pm
$5/session, $15/day

This very special retreat helps us create a vast amount of spiritual energy or merit and receive blessings from our Spiritual Guide. Through offering a pure universe filled with precious objects, we will easily fulfill all our wishes.

Learning to meditate is the best way to overcome stress and keep a positive, relaxed attitude to life. Through following practical, down-to-earth instructions everyone can learn to meditate. This course includes guided meditation, advice on using meditation to solve daily problems, and question and answer sessions. Everyone is welcome!
